A civil wedding is usually performed in a town hall
/ registry office.
For civil weddings we have chosen for you the most
attractive town halls of the area; generally speaking,
a wedding ceremony is possible in every Municipality
(see also “legal requirements” and under
“wedding venues”).
Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Cortona, Montepulciano,
Pienza and other Tuscan cities offer particularly beautiful
settings from the artistic and historical points of
view.
Also enchanting are the town halls of Rapolano and
Certaldo, or Gaiole and Castellina in the Chianti area.
In the past, important decisions about peace and war
were made in these governmental seats; nowadays only
contracts of love are signed here. A fascinating alternative
